Previously known as "O LIBA" 25 Km west Al-Bayda, is well worth a visit. There is a Turkish fort, visible from the road, and a Byzantine church with a mosaic floor in situ, and wonderful collection of 42 square M. mosaic panels which were discovered nearby and are now mounted in a museum on the site. They originally came from the floor of a Basilica and depict a wide and interesting range of subjects.
